When did genuflecting on one knee begin or change? We were taught as kids to use both knees when giving reverence to the Blessed Sacrament.

When the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacrament issued Holy Communion and Worship of the Eucharist Outside of Mass in 1973, the new or update reverence of the Blessed Sacrament was stated, genuflectingonly on one knee.
