We are excited to choose our own readings for our wedding Mass, but since it's a Sunday Mass, does that mean we have to stick to the readings of the day? It's not a feast day.

The readings of the Sunday Mass take precedence. You may choose an alternate second reading from the New Testament. Congratulations on the marriage!
